T-Mobile is offering a $100 gift card and a months’ free data service as compensation for losing all of someone’s smartphone data. That sounds like a good comp for that unfortunate possibility, although it may not happen again it is a good practice to back up your info no matter what cell phone model you have.

Microsoft should be the one compensating all these customers, not T-Mobile. Last I checked, T-Mobile’s service was working fine, but Microsoft’s wasn’t.
