AT&T have great phone choices for Seniors

Friday, November 13th, 2009

The Important things to remember when shopping for a new cell phone for your senior is it’s affordability, large keypad, loud speakerphone, bright and large display and user friendliness.

AT&T helps seniors or visually impaired train to use their new cell phone with a program they started over 2 years ago.

With a little guidance your senior can be confident when getting their new cell phone and you can be sure that they understand the easy to use models.

If you don’t have the patience take them to your closest AT&T store once you have received your new phone and they will walk them through the ins and outs of using a cell phone, such as accessing voice mail, programming an address book and turning on voice controls.

There are 2 models for ATT phones that are especially simple and a good cellphone for someone who wants this wonderful convenience and for more freedom & safety measures. They are both free when you start a new cellular plan or even if you are adding on a new line to your current plan.

The models we have heard are good are the Pantech Breeze C520, a nice small compact phone, with a speakerphone and voice memo. With Alarm, calendar and vibrate mode.

We found an excellent article “cell phones for senior citizens.com that really talks up the Breeze phone, saying this phone models has a simplified menu, large font, 3 quick call keys, easy to use buttons and audio keys for dialing.

Another model we noticed is the Motorola EM330 Titanium. First off it has a large digital clock on the front, then it has 7 hours of talk time, that’s a huge battery life. Nice features, camera and a FM radio. This Moto model also has a music player, speakerphone and expandable memory.

Both of these models are FREE with a new add on line and the whole AT&T line of cell phones are available.

AT&T Motorola Karma QA1 Pros & Cons

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

ATT’s Motorola Karma QA1 is highly rated by PC Magazine who say,

“BOTTOM LINE, The Motorola Karma is a solidly built handset with good audio quality and a very usable QWERTY keyboard, despite its small size and unusual form factor.

PROS: Excellent reception. Good build quality. Satisfying keyboard. Quality music and video players.

CONS:A little thick and heavy. Poor camera.”

“Phones with slide-down QWERTY keyboards are finally starting to become popular, as shown by squat but solid handsets like the Samsung Reclaim over on Sprint and the new Motorola Karma QA1 on AT&T. The Karma is just three and a half inches tall, and yet features a slide-down QWERTY keyboard that’s as wide as the one on a BlackBerry Curve. Despite some miscues, the Karma is an excellent choice.”

Despite some miscues, the Karma is an excellent choice…” and we agree and offer the Karma for free at our store online along with a new 2 year contract or eligible upgrade extension.
